The holy grail of the Les Pauls. In 1959, around 600 Les Pauls were manufactured and currently the price of one of these works of art is around $ 400,000, something not suitable for all budgets …
The specs are historically correct and offer all the details from that particular period, such as a figured maple top and exact ’59 neck profile. The pickups are recreations of the custom Buckers with Alnico-3 magnets and Bumble Bee capacitors to re-create the original PAFs. The finish is a VOS (Vintage Original Spec for its acronym in English) that is perfectly according to its time to the smallest detail, and tries to recreate the condition that the instrument would have bought at the time and that was stored for years in the case to this day, with a matte tone and slightly corroded hardware.
A super limited gem and a perfect recreation that seems to have come out of a time capsule. All this for a price that is one hundredth of that of one of those rare 600s but that are made with the best materials available today and the guarantee of a totally new instrument and made by the expert hands of Custom Luthiers. Gibson’s shop.
The characteristics of the guitar are:
A one-piece Mahogany body with a two-piece Flamed Maple top, Lemon Burst color with VOS treatment and Nitrocellulose finish.
A one-piece set Mahogany neck with ’59 profile, Solid Indian Rosewood fingerboard with 22 12 «radius frets and cellulose trapezoid inlay.
PAF Custom Buckers pickups with Alnico III magnets.
ABR bridge with lightweight aluminum Reissue tailpiece.
Kluson type Reissue tuners.
