Pedro Maldonado Guitars
Pedro Maldonado was born in Loja (Granada) in 1929.
In a difficult post-war period, he soon began working in his father’s cabinetmaking workshop, and from an early age his interest in string instruments was born. He regularly visited the workshops in Granada, where he learned and learned the secrets of the trade from great builders such as: Manuel de la Chica, Manuel Ferrer and Antonio Robles, with whom he forged a close friendship.
In 1959 he installed his first workshop in «Calle Caus» (Loja) where he began to build his first flamenco guitars, and soon they became famous in their environment. This popularity forces him to move his workshop to the «Barriada de Sixto» in the city of Malaga to reach more customers. Three years later, he moved his workshop back to “Avenida Velazquez” where he had to work hard to supply the orders that now come from all over the world.
Finally, he moved his workshop to “Avenida Isabel Manoja nº4” where he continues to work with his son today.
