Ginés Marín González Guitars
Ginés Marín, luthier by vocation. Since I was 12 years old I have dedicated my life to violins and music. I played in the church choir, in popular folklores and all those occasions when they gave me the opportunity to play.
Despite not entering the Luthiers School due to lack of means, it did not prevent me from learning the profession through books and other restorers. I began to study the violin in depth; It captivated me from the first time I touched it.
From the first instrument I made at age 12 I knew I would dedicate my life to creating and restoring them. I ended up going into the trade restoring old violins and guitars. When I had enough experience I took a step forward by building the violins and guitars myself. So many years treating them have led me to always select top quality materials. By then, I was able to enter the academy and hone the techniques for creating masterpieces.
The wood of each violin is treated with very old formulas. Handmade varnishes made by me and with natural products; as they did in the 17th century.
Some works are carved with figures and marquetry works requested by customers. All instruments are numbered in the base and internally sealed with date of manufacture, label and signature.
